The 2019 annual SEA (now Improving Scientific Software) conference will take place in Boulder, CO at the NCAR Center Green Campus from April 8th to April 12th. The theme for 2019 will be Improving Scientific Software.

Program Details

The conference will have the following tracks:

  • Utilizing modern HPC architectures for Scientific Software
  • Utilizing Machine Learning Techniques in Scientific Software
  • Utilizing Software Engineering practices to improve Scientific Software
  • Utilizing containers and cloud for HPC

 

Solicitation

The Software Engineering Assembly is soliciting talks and tutorials about any aspects of Scientific Software, but particularly:

  • How to improve Scientific Software
  • Utilizing modern HPC architectures for Scientific Software
  • Utilizing Machine Learning Techniques in Scientific Software
  • Utilizing Software Engineering practices to improve Scientific Software
  • Utilizing containers and cloud for HPC

People interested in proposing tutorials may take advantage of our offer to host JupyterHub for you to run the tutorial on.

Only an abstract submission is due. Please SUBMIT YOUR ABSTRACT HERE.

Important dates

  • 2018, November 12th: Call for talks and tutorials opens
  • 2019, January 13th:  Call for talks and tutorials closes (no deadline extensions will be granted)
  • 2019, January: Registration for attendees opens
  • 2019, February 1st: Travel Assistance application deadline
  • 2019, February 4th: Program announced
  • 2019, April 8th: Conference begins
  • 2019, April 12th: Conference ends
